Brandberg Enhydros

The Brandberg is the highest mountain range in Namibia and produces perhaps the finest enhydros on earth. The bottom picture is from space, courtesy of Nasa. A mystical area famed for its many ancient rock paintings and engravings. The indigenous peoples hold the "Fire Mountain" as sacred and the crystals produced here are testament to that fact.

This outstanding crystal has the gentlest lilac amethyst flame interior and an easilly seen inner crystal. With a loupe you can also see the even rarer enhydro negative. This is a crystal shaped water pocket with a moving bubble! This has been marked for easy identification.

The window is symmetrical. The tip has a tint ding hence price for a crystal of this rarity.

Brandberg Self-Healed Curved Manifestation Enhydro Rainbow DT

Ethically hand mined Brandberg quartz

Many water pockets and a fairly stationary, tiny bubble in the self-healed tip. Dozens of tiny inner crystals/negatives (crystal shaped hollows). Their shape and proximity to water would make a negative more than likely, but no easily found moving bubbles. Opalised inclusions on the lower tip.

The centre of this mostly water clear crystal has a group (I counted 30 before stopping) of these perfectly formed inner crystals/crystal shaped enhydro pockets (negatives), all aligned perfectly at 90 degrees to the vertical plane and grouped with 12mm of each other. Truly amazing.

If you want an enhydro with a large, easily seen bubble, they do not get any better than this! The whole bright, water clear tip has a 10mm round moving bubble. At least 2 other bubbles and many beautifully formed tiny DT manifestation crystals. Some are likely to be enhydro negatives, but no easily found bubbles.

Bright rainbows and serious curvature complete this unique Brandberg.

Brandberg Self-Healed Smokey Flame Rainbow Enhydro

This large, super bright smoky flame has at least 3 nicely moving bubbles and many more water pockets. A loupe (very hard with the naked eye), reveals a few tiny internal crystals (manifestation formation), but the proliferation of water cavities in many Brandbergs indicates at least some are the even rarer negative, (geological term), where the "crystal" is a crystal shaped, water or gas filled hollow. Without a bubble certain identification is difficult at best. Self-healing around the base of what is essentially still a DT.
