Brandberg Quartz

The Brandberg is the highest mountain range in Namibia, rising out of the red desert. The bottom picture is from space, courtesy of Nasa. A mystical area famed for its many ancient rock paintings and engravings. The indigenous peoples hold the "Fire Mountain" as sacred and the crystals produced here are testament to that fact.

Stunning amethysts and smokey "flames", liquid inclusions (enhydros) and brilliance characterize this exceptional quartz.

This exceptional crystal is full of large water pockets, but is otherwise perfectly water clear. A stationary bubble can be seen through the main, 7 sided channelling formation* face (*when combined with an opposite triangle), but a much larger air pocket can be seen moving in the centre of the crystal. An extremely faint, single black phantom and deep gateway near the base produce this stunning, super bright Brandberg.

Ethically hand mined Brandberg quartz

Bright and slightly smokey, this attractive crystal is very almost a sceptre.

Skeletal is commonly used as a synonym for elestial, but while sharing some of its defining and metaphysical properties; it is a distinct quartz formation. Most elestials are not skeletal. Skeletal quartz is characterized by geometric depressions (and therefore raised patterning), which produce pronounced external etching and internal cavities, often filled with liquid (enhydros). These internal spaces combine to give an overall skeletal appearance.

Both crystals are water clear. One is a channelling formation the other has 2 windows. They are growing from a chink of white calcite, which amplifies their energy. One has a very small ding hence price.
