Guerrero in Mexico produced the most sought after amethyst on Earth. Amethyst from Guerrero has a rich interior purple phantom, tapering, often curved and tend to radiate out from a common point. These are some of the most valuable amethysts (economically & metaphysically), in the world. As the Guerrero mine is now exhausted, these crystals are becoming increasingly rare.
