Natural Smokey Quartz

Most quartz sold as Smokey is irradiated clear quartz and is vastly inferior. It can usually be identified by an unnaturally dark colour. While clear quartz is used on all chakras, the smokey variety is generally associated with the base chakra, helping to dissolve negative energy produced by the mind and emotions. The base chakra is also known as the "root" chakra, this indicates the chakra that absorbs primal, raw energy to be differentiated throughout the higher chakras according to the consciousness one has developed. Balancing and cleansing of this chakra is therefore very important.
