Crystals & Geometry
"Matter's latticed
waves are spaced at intervals corresponding to the frets on a harp
or guitar with analogous sequences of overtones arising from each
fundamental.
The science of musical harmony is in these terms practically
identical with the science of symmetry in crystals."

Amstutz - Mineralogical Institute

Geometry
is knowledge of the eternally existent.

If you you take the
same chemical substances of a rose, but arrange them in a different geometric shape, you will not smell the sweetness of rose.
If you take different chemical substances and arrange them in the molecular geometry of a rose, you
will smell the sweetness of rose. A rose by any other name
may smell as sweet, but not any other geometry. Form has
qualities.
How much more are the metaphysical properties of crystals dependant on
their actual shape when they are, even at the external level,
precise geometric forms?
Whether
we have read the entire alternative health/new age section at
our local library, or we thought crystal healing was an amazing
display of synchronicity in relation to women named Crystal,
crystals will have a positive effect on both the gross and subtle
elements of the human organism. They have a beneficial effect on
nearly all life forms,
including the earth - which is why 12% of the earths crust (by
volume), is
quartz in one form or another.
We are going to look at crystal healing not as it is generally done
today, but as it may have been understood in the past. Why the
past? Because civilization at the dawn of the 21st Century
is not at its pinnacle, as the falsely inflated collective ego of
the era would have
you think. Making metal boxes move faster through the air and on
land, and being able to get a McDonalds almost anywhere on the
planet, is certainly not progress. At the very best it is testament
to the ingenuity of greed.

We
are going to look at crystals in one way that is common to all the
ancients - geometry and number. This
section simply cannot contain all the information about number and
geometry in relation to crystals, and neither would I claim to know
it.
The science is too vast and deep for the human mind to
bring fully under control, it encompasses the nature and
composition of our bodies as well as the orbit of the
planets. Much of the legacy of ancient civilizations
has been left in
this code.
"If
only they [children] could see numbers and shapes as the ancients
did, as symbols of principles available to teach us about the
natural structure and processes of the universe and to give us
perspective on human nature."
Michael S. Schneider,
Sacred Geometer and author of "A Beginners Guide to
Constructing the Universe". |
In
nature's infinite book of secrets, a little I can read.
William
Shakespeare
We
may not be geometers or mathematicians, but geometry is the
universal language and therefore accessible to all. A circle is a
circle, whether drawn on Egyptian parchment or scribed in the dust
of Australia. It has always been understood as the symbol of a
principle. What proves it to be a universal language is that the
very same principle was understood and communicated by the use of
the circle by "seers" everywhere. The circle is every thing,
wholeness, unity.

Geometry
can show us the blueprint of an intelligently designed universe,
no faith is needed to step on to the path of geometry, but one
cannot walk long without acquiring it. "You
begin to see, as never before, the wonderfully patterned beauty of
Creation. You see true artistry, far above any human contrivance.
This indeed is the very source of art. By contact with it your
aesthetic senses are heightened and set upon the firm basis of
truth. Beyond the obvious pleasure of contemplating the works of
nature - the Many - is the delight that comes through the
philosophical study of geometry, of moving towards the presence of
the One."
John Michelle, Sacred Geometer. |

The
more spiritual, holistic and mystical civilizations of the
past were based on a mass of cultural understandings of the
nature of the Universe, well rooted in scientific
observation. In the most ancient of all cultures, the Vedic
culture of India immortalized in Sanskrit literature,
everything was understood first in terms of "siddhanta",
the conclusion on reality. That conclusion being, that all
living entities are individual parts of a spiritual whole -
God, the Great Spirit. The criteria by which all activities
are valued, is whether or not they bring us closer to our
original spiritual consciousness, which is different to our
present bodily identity. |
With
the solid foundation of all sections of society accepting this basic
premise of spiritual reality, sciences, healing modalities, art,
architecture, literature and consciousness flourished.
The
most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is
the source of all true art and science.
Albert
Einstein
That
cultural data bank of knowledge is not only largely unavailable
today, but
has been systematically ridiculed to the point where even talking
about such things as the healing properties of stones is more likely
to open a giggle than a debate with "real" scientists.
Even well documented evidence, gathered with accepted methods, which
is contrary to the established norm, is rejected or censored by an
establishment desperate to cling on to a world view at odds with the
facts. The world of archaeology bears testament to this unfortunate
situation.
When
you consider the great cultures, appearing and disappearing over
thousands of years, that have inspired us in terms of spirituality,
science, architecture, art and wisdom, it is wise to remember
that only in the fraction of time since the industrial revolution
has "scientific" rationalism dared to undermine the vision
of realized souls who all, despite differences in location and
denomination, point to the underlying spiritual reality and
unity of all that is. Native Americans and Indian sages never taught
we were apes that stood up.
Can we
honestly claim that the mindset and technology that has brought this
planet to the brink of ecological or nuclear destruction, is worthy
of eclipsing the accumulated wisdom of the earth until this tiny
moment in cosmic time? The child-like presumption in presenting
theory as fact has been force fed us from school to the
Discovery channel, must be dismissed by thoughtful women and
men, as it is a great impediment to understanding crystals or
anything else worth knowing.
This
information on how to "tune in" to, and understand crystals
through number and geometry will be developed on the
crystal healing
pages. |
