List of Birthstones for Each Month
Who decided
the list of
Birthstones for each month?
On
August 12, 1912, the American National Retail Jewellers Association
arbitrarily decided on a list of birthstones for each month, adding to or
changing many of the traditional stones to those more
commercially viable. In other words, a month was allocated to
the stones which would make them most money. In 1938 the American Gem Society adopted
this list (with the addition of citrine) for use by its members.
The modern
idea of "birthstones" was
established merely on the basis of maximizing profit, with no
reference to its esoteric roots.

The idea of
birthstones is, however, rooted in fact. The exact time of birth,
not merely month, indicates which gems are most
beneficial for us as individuals. Over 5000 years ago the
rishis, (translates from Sanskrit as "seers")
understood the correlations and underlying unity of all things through
Divine revelation and mystic vision and established the original
original, Vedic astrology.
Something for the understandably sceptical among us to consider, is that
they recorded complex
calculations that precisely plotted the orbits of the planets, long
before modern telescopes.

If you want to experience the genuine transformational properties of
gems, the list of birthstones for each month has to be seen for what it
is - a scam. It is essential to
use stones based on astrological science, not the marketing strategies of the
jewellery
industry.
Each planet rules certain
gems and by strengthening well placed planets with the appropriate gem,
all areas ruled by that planet are enhanced.
Talismans of this type have been used and recorded by almost every
ancient civilization. Gemstones have always been considered precious and
attributed metaphysical qualities.
So how do we know which
gems are are our real birthstones?
The
only way to find
your real "birthstone" is for a professional
astrologers to analyse your birth chart and determine which stones are
best for you as an individual.

Astrology Quotes
Translation of the 5000 year old Sanskrit
Srimad Bhagavatam
"Thereupon, when all the good signs of the zodiac gradually
evolved, the heir apparent of Pandu, who would be exactly like him in
prowess, took birth."
Commentary:
"Astronomical calculations of stellar influences upon a living
being are not suppositions but are factual, as confirmed in Srimad
Bhagavatam. Every living being is controlled by the laws of nature at
every minute....As stated in the Bhagavad-Gita (3.9), every action of
the body produces another reaction which is binding upon us....A man's
destiny is therefore ascertained by the birthtime constellation of
stars, and a factual horoscope is made by a learned astrologer. It is a
great science." Translation and commentary by HDG A.C.
Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

Sir Isaac Newton, when chided by Haley (the discoverer of the comet)
for believing such a "superstition" as astrology, is reported to have
said: "It is evident that you have not looked into astrology; I have."
"That we can now think of no mechanism for astrology is relevant but
unconvincing. No mechanism was known, for example, for continental drift
when it was proposed by Wegener. Nevertheless, we see that Wegener was
right, and those who objected on the grounds of unavailable mechanism
were wrong."
Carl Sagan |
|
"The stars in the heavens sing a music if only we had ears to hear."
Pythagoras
"Courteous Reader, Astrology is one of the most ancient Sciences,
held in high esteem of old, by the Wise and the Great. Formerly, no
Prince would make War or Peace, nor any General fight in Battle, in
short, no important affair was undertaken without first consulting
an Astrologer."
Benjamin Franklin |
